Personal: Panter girl
Yesterday I was very surprised when I was tagged in a new picture from a shoot I did last winter. I only got one picture from then, and now the student made time to finish another one. I look very different with the retro eyeliner, but it's still me. People think they photoshop a lot on my pictures, but that's not true. Sometimes I can see the unedited pictures and the result. Except from making the skin softer, make the make-up coming out better and use a colour layer, they don't change much on myself. Good lights, fondation and the right pose and expression can make me look different than in real. Also when my hair and make-up is different than other times I look like a total other person. Like a cameleon.

Personal: Day at Knokke
For who doesn't know Knokke, it's a very known city on the Belgium coast. But also very expensive and full of rich people. I had to be there as "Miss" for a catwalk at the beach. We were wearing a dress of Jane & Joe over our bikini from Sapph. The next round we showed our bikini together with UGGs. Yes indeed! If there's something really wrong in fashion, then it are those winter slippers without any elegance, combinated with a summer outfit, in this case a bikini!
The dress of Jane & Joe, the picture you can find back on their facebook page |
Before I show you the WRONG picture, first this one I'm very surprised about |
And here the wrongest outfit I ever wore |
My day-at-Knokke-outfit with the hat you already saw before |

Personal: Miss Elections Part I
Since the 5th of May I'm candidate for Miss West-Flanders for Miss Belgium. That's the official Miss Election of Belgium. I'm participating for this to open new ways for my modelling. I hope the right people will see me and ask me to be their model. In this period we had the Missday, photoshoots, a wellness day, and lots of other presents and activities. I selected for you a few pictures of what I've done the last months in this first part. You can also follow my facebook page for more updates.

Fashion: Snob vs. punk
On the facebook page Fashion World News Feed I found back these contrasting pictures. The model Anja Rubik was styled in 2 different styles. One part of her body presents a very classic glamorous woman, while the other part is a rebellion punk version of herself. I really like the idea of this creative shoot. Maybe some inspiration for later. Pictures done by Inez & Vinoodh.

Personal: Belle Epoque Lady
You saw my outfit for today, and you know it was a hot day? Well, I felt like a melting icecream in those clothes. I knew that would be a problem, but I didn't have anything else in that style. But it was a nice day. Everyone was watching us, took pictures, some were polite and asked it friendly, others were just too scared or don't have manners. I enjoyed the moment at the picknick, sitting there on the grass, in the shadow of the trees. Guys stealing my pie of rice, but I'm not complaining. I could eat from their pasta salad and the fruit salad. In the afternoon we continued dance lessons in the style from that period. And of course we visited the animals, since we were at the zoo.

Personal: Belle Epoque Picknick
As promised I'll show you my inspired outfit for the Belle Epoque Picknick this sunday in the Zoo of Antwerp. It's organised by Viona-Art and you can win a weekend in her castle in Germany. The outfit will have an underbust corset, a parasol and a basket with pie!
I wish my family could have saved the clothes from my great great grand mother. She was turning to be 100 years when I was born. Yes we were a generation of five women in one line.

TAG: The Fashion Tag
It's time for another tag, I just love them! This one is about fashion. That fits on my blog right? Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I'll show you pictures from the outfit I will wear on the Belle Epoque picknick sunday.
1. How would you discribe your style?
I still love the gothic style, but since I work and participate on Miss Belgium I have to look after what to wear. But as I'm Sharon Boucquez, I keep staying myself. I can't say no to black of course, so I still choose for something rock-a-like but elegant, and commercial.
2. What are your wardrobe staples
Dresses and skirts everywhere! Also have some corsets and high heels. I often use leather, at least fake leather.
3. Most expensive item in your wardrobe?
I think that's my very long wintercoat. It was close to the 200 euro's. Everything else is under the 80 euro's except from a pair of boots.
4. Most wanted item?
High heels! Black pumps with very high heels and decorated with studs or diamonds. Or overknee boots which don't look cheap.
5. Favorite designer?
That's really a difficult question. You just can't have 1 favorite. Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Jean Paul Gaultier and Alexander McQueen are my favorites. I just can't choose between them.
6. How much do you spend on clothes?
I go shopping once or twice a year and then I spend about the 100 euro's. Sometimes I buy one or two pieces between both periods. But that's for sure not a lot. I don't have the money for that.
7. What are your favorite places to shop?
The New Look, Forever 21 and Zara are my favorite shops. But when I don't find anything, I like to use the online gothic shops.
8. Favorite fragrance?
In Paris last year, I bought La Petite Robe Noire from Guerlain. Someone in school told me she saw the publicity and it reminded her on me. When I smelt it, it fitted perfect with me. It's sweet and has all black ingredients.
9. What's your favorite way to do your hair?
I wish I could do much more with my hair. But even hairdressers mostly fail in playing with it. As you can see on pictures I wear it always loose.
10. What is your "go-to" outfit when you have no idea what to wear?
A little black dress. Fits with every occasion, work, school, party, restaurant,... and also on a date. But I have no experience with that last one.
11. One fashion trend you wish would come back or stay?
When I was much younger I remember there was a winterperiod with a lot of black combined with colourful accents (also neon) and legwarmers. It was like the 80's were coming back, but not that heavily. I wish the style from Madonna in the 80's would come back. I'm talking about lace, corsets, pettycoats, leather ankle boots with laces,...
12. Show us your most prized possession in your wardrobe.
This bracelet is very unique and got it for my 18th birthday from my parents. They bought it in Paris when I was at the concert of Tokio Hotel. With unique I mean there's only one of it.

Beauty: Waterproof Mermaids
It's time for another tutorial from Michelle Phan. Finally we're having beautiful summerdays! Some of you go to the beach or use the swimming pool. Then it's important your make-up is waterproof, if you at least wear it. I also added a video from the mermaid in the tutorial. Really amazing how she does that!

Fashion: Elie Saab Campaign
I found for you the campaign pictures from Elie Saabs Fall Winter 2013 collection. There are only 4 of them, but very classy. It's not the kind of atmosphere I expect from Elie Saab, but so was the video too.
Not the same one, since I can't find it back |
