Fashion week: New York & London

In September the Ready To Wear (RTW) fashion weeks will start in New York. The first shows will start on wednesday the 4th and there are a lot of names on the lists. From friday the 13th London will show the Spring/Summer collections for next year. About Paris and Milan I didn't find information yet, but I'll let you know. Personal: Inspiration wintercoat

In September I'll start again with my lessons Fashion & Theatercostumes. The first 2 weeks I won't be able to go because I have repetitions for the electionshow of Miss West- and East-Flanders. But I already have an idea what will be my first project: a wintercoat. Every year I meet the same problem, finding a warm wintercoat which fits me in my waist and is elegant. Fashion: Louboutin store in Belgium

The king of shoes, Christian Louboutin, will open a shop in my country, Belgium. Where and when is not clear yet, but he should already have a BVBA in Brussels. I think it will be on the Boulevard de Waterloo in Brussels, where other couture stores are. For who can't wait and want to buy already a pair of shoes, there's an online shop for Europe. I selected a few shoes from the FW 2013 collection. Red, dark blue and leopard print are the trends of his last collection.

Fashion: Vogue Fashion's Night Out

When I bought the Dutch Vogue, the September issue, I saw an invitation for the Vogue Fashion's Night out in Amsterdam the 5th of September. It's the second time they organisate this in their country. A lot of shops are open that day till late in the evenings. There will be music, performers, shows,... In September the Fashionweeks for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection will start too. So it's all about fashion that month and I will join it! Personal: New contest!

For my participation on Miss Belgium I can win beautiful furniture for in our garden. Some of you remember I just moved, and well, our garden is like a jungle now. Fashion: FW 2013 trend - Plaid patterns

Now the sales are over, you can see everywhere the new fall and winter collection. On sunday the shops are open in Oostende, and I took the chance to go shopping. Last time I didn't visit the Zara and I also still wanted to buy the pants I saw in Vero Moda. It was for me very clearly what will be the next trends. Especially in the Zara (who's always very up to date about the new trends) I saw skirts, dresses and blouses with scottish plaid patterns. The colours are very sober, from bordeaux to midnightblue.
It also have a typical school style with pleated skirts and knee stockings.

Of course you still combinate it how you want. You can go as a cute schoolgirl, but it can be also very punk if you combinate it with a belt with studs or bikerboots. Not everything I saw in the shops I could find back on the sites. For example, I saw a very cute dress, but on top it didn't fit me, to wide again. But it could have look nice if I wasn't that thin. Let's see how the designers used this pattern in their collection.

Beauty: EM Michelle Phan

Yesterday I saw a video on YouTube from Michelle Phan about her make-up line. It's also been released a few days ago. It's all about her 6 different "life palettes" she and her team created. For every moment and event you have a palette with all matching eyeshadows, blush and lipgloss. Each part is removable which is very useful if you want to make your own palette. Each palette with 4 different styles is $ 75, that's around 56 EUR. I think it's a normal price for quality make-up and the combination of the eyes, cheeks and lips. But you also have seperate items such as foundation and blush. Please click on the pictures, on her site you will find tutorials for each look.

BlackOrganza: Vlog

I made my first videoblog about my new items and some blablabla about my modelling, Miss Belgium,... It's in Dutch, because as you know my English is not well. So talking in English is even worse. It took me 2 nights and a day to upload my video on YouTube. And the quality is not that great yet. But I hope you will enjoy!

On Youtube there's going on a beauty video tag for those who have a boyfriend. Well I don't, but Michelle Phan does. Her boyfriend had to do her make-up and well... you can see it on the video. I think it's really funny to do when you have a boyfriend.

Personal: Sandwonderland

The organisations from Miss Belgium and from the sandsculptures in Blankenberge, we got as candidate a free ticket to visit "Sandwonderland". Our Miss Belgium 2013 has her own statue and for a contest we have to make creative pictures with it. I made a photostory as Little Red Riding Hood and an hourglass.
